Differentiation:
Activities have been designed using the multiple intelligences/ blooms matrix as a planning guideline, each activity caters to a variety of learning styles and needs. The use of visuals and hands on activities, ICT incorporation, Mathematics (timelines), Visual arts, along side the open ended tasks allows all students to fulil the task to their own ability.
Each task provides modified and extended learners with an open-ended activity to ensure all learners are catered for. Explicit teaching through introduction of the lesson caters for all learning abilities.
The task suits a broad range of students needs again by the open ended nature of the task, but by also emcompassing ICT intergration and hands on tasks.
The Web quest encourages students to use higher order thiking skills through tasks that require students to analyse, evaluate and create.
